Jean-Michel André Jarre








Jean-Michel André Jarre (born 24 August 1948, Lyon) is a French composer, performer and music producer. He is regarded as a pioneer in the electronic, synthpop and New Age genres, as well as an organiser of outdoor spectacles of his music which feature lights, laser displays and fireworks including the 1997 New Guinness Book of Records entry for the biggest concert ever with 3.5 million watching at Moscow's 850th anniversary. Jarre has sold an estimated 80 million albums and singles

paaL plays Justice Live @ holmenkollen, Norway
This is paaLs tribte to Gaspard Augé and Xavier de Rosnay also known as Justice. Justice first produced tracks together for Musclorvision's Hits Up To You, a concept compilation where tracks were meant to sound like they were meant for the Eurovision song contest. The compilation included two of their songs, and a track by Gaspard's alter-ego Microloisir. Justice first came to prominence through their 2003 remix of Simian's track "Never Be Alone," created for a Paris college radio station's remix contest. The remix resulted in the group being signed to Ed Banger (who released it) and became a hit in clubs and on the internet. The song was re-released in 2004 on DJ Hell's International DeeJay Gigolo Records and eventually given a commercial release in the UK in the summer of 2006, under the title "We Are Your Friends," on Ten Records, a sub-label of Virgin Records

Moog synthesizers were custom assembled for each order. There were two types of case, a nice looking wooden console, and a portable box covered in black crinkly paper. There were some standard setups, but most studios chose their modules a la carte. Prices in 1969 ranged from $125 for an envelope generator through 395 for an oscillator to 1,225 for a sequencer. (At that time a hamburger cost fifteen cents.) The order form included a map so you could specify where you wanted your modules, but they could easily be moved around. Almost all of us bought only a few modules at a time, and many systems still have empty space.
